My Father was stationed at Comiso Air Station when I was around two years old and was our home until kindergarten. The air station has since closed, but it holds a special place in my heart as I fell in love with computers and technology there. Our home was across the runway from the Base Exchange (BX), and we would ride our bikes across the base going to and from school, pick up my little brother, etc. For my younger self, though, that meant a visit to the BX where there was a computer section! The disappearing digital divide?

I live in a beautiful town called Standish, Michigan. Our total population is around 1400 people, and the majority of our population are farmers. That is to include the majority of my family who lives around our home here. Growing up, this was where I would come home for the Summers living abroad, as my father would joke, to learn more about the family business. My father married my mother, joined the Air Force, and then left to travel the world.
