Conky Setup

I love me some eye candy that is actually useful. Conky falls into this category for me. In the olden days it was either gkrellm or a WindowMaker plugin. I have spent some time getting the conky setup EXACTLY how I want it. The results are posted below:

Install:
sudo aptitude install conky lm-sensors hddtemp python-feedparser

Extract this file to ~/.bin and make executable. Edit the files for weather.yahoo.com
Conky Scripts

Extract this file to ~/.fonts
Conky Fonts

Extract this file to ~/.conkyrc Be sure to edit the Gmail username for example
Conky RC

Before the sun has risen today,
My feet and pavement run the way,

Mirrors and moon guide the path,
Muscles burning, hope to last,

Before the day has opened anew,
I have laced up my running shoes,

Cold and darkness cover abound,
Peace and tranquility here is found,

The only sound from buds in ear,
No one awake, nothing to fear,

Sweat dripping from forehead and brow,
Finish the run, take the bow,

Up the stairs and onto the shower,
For this I awake in the early morning hour,

Long Time

It has been awhile since I have posted here since work started blocking my website (BLOCKED FOR HACKING TUTORIALS – Seriously!) and I wanted to make sure I captured my current projects:

Thats it for now, expect some HOWTO on the stuff above here soon. Except for the Ducati part. The HOWTO is pretty simple, twist throttle and smile :)
