Posted from my n800

A program came out called Maemo Blog…and I am using it. Hooked up to my bluetooth keyboard I am able to type a post that would have taken ages with the other input methods. To top it off I type this very quickly due to the touch typing feel of this keyboard. What the n800 has become for me is a mini laptop. I use it in airports while I travel and in hotel rooms when I need a quick email. The n800 is far from perfect though, with its lack of software (compared to the n770) and I am still waiting on my Skype client. But such is life of the Linux bleeding edge guy. My blood is your gain :)

New motorcycle - Honda RC51

I debated and thought about it a lot before deciding on this bike. The money it cost to buy a used bike was enough to purchase a run-of-the-mill 600/1000cc I4. What flipped me to this bike was the VFR800 I ride now. I am in love with V2 motors. Just the feel of the torque ripping me out of a corner or the sensation of the front well jumping from the ground, I am sold. The RC51 is by far the most capable corning bike I have ever ridden. Here are some pictures. Stay tuned for information:

Ian Murdock leaves Debian

The Sun folks are sounding the alarm that this is the end of Linux! I think what they fail to reailize is the state of Debian and his original project leads. I see his move as signal of Sun’s new commitment to the GPL3 than to him closing his ideals off from the Linux community. If you read his early papers and reasons for starting Debian you will quickly realize he has almost Richard Stallman views on free software. If you want to see the Sun Blog I commented on:

I dislike Delta Airlines

Yep it is true. The story goes like this:

I schedule my flight on Saturday from Huntsville to Fort Walton Beach for a business trip. I am unable to leave on Sunday due to no flights so they stick me on a Saturday flight. No worries. I wake from my nap @ 1400 in order to prepare. I check the flight status only to find the flight has been delayed by 2 hours. That would put me into Atlanta @ 2114 and my next flight takes off @ 2133. RIGHT! Anyone been to Atlanta. So I quickly start making calls only to run into 2 people who don’t speak English. I mean at all. These people could only do hooked-on-phonics from the screen. I recieved the same information over and over again. I hang up and try for time 3 and reach Oneil who puts me in touch with rescheduling. They say it is going to cost me 50 dollars to reschedule. I ask why as it isn’t my fault. The time now is 1540 and she finally gets me off hold to tell me there is a 1545 I could catch from Huntsville. Well I could have, if she and the others spoke English. So now I fly out hoping that I can make it through the gates @ Atlanta in time for my next flight. Wish me well. I hate flying

Eucharist Prayer of Self

It occurred to me at Mass this last week that the true sacrifice of the Eucharist not only occurs metaphysically on the alter but also with ourselves. I found myself as always praying with the Priest the Eucharist prayer but thinking of words to describe my own being. Here is the sacrifice of self I came up with.

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness I have this flesh to offer, which your love has given and human hands have made. It will become my act of life.

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness I have this soul to offer, fruit of your divinity and work of creation. It will become my eternal being.

Lord, wash away my iniquity; cleans me from my sin.

Pray, my brethren, that our prayers may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.

May the Lord accept the sacrifice of my life for the praise and glory of His name, for the good of hope, and for the good of all His Church.
