I woke up this morning when Google Calendar sent a txt to my phone informing me that I had been paid today! “What?! I just got paid 2 weeks ago!” I looked into it and yes I was paid. What I realized this morning was I had spent hardly nothing. As any true geek does, I punched numbers!
Total Cost to live = 20,459
So then that got me thinking, what is the lowest wage I could work for hourly as a backup plan? Just in case this whole Computer-guy thingie doesn’t work out
Minimum Wage (5.15/hr) = 9,888
Needed Wage = 10.65/hr
When I see numbers like this I am reminded WHY I don’t mind the jokes about my fully paid off car and motorcycle. Power to those that live within their means!

I am going to attempt once again to learn a programming language. I wanted to look at the pro’s and con’s of each language in my work enviroment, military/DOD usage:
Currently used in the Sidewinder Firewalls throughout the commands
CITS uses the language extensively in the newer software deployments
Actually a default install on many CITS Network Servers
Lots of support for web applications; where the military is going
Very easy to use syntax for learning
I would argue much better Windows support using COM objects
Small footprint and very quick
In the end I haven’t a clue! It really is time to add one to the ol’ resume though. I will keep you posted for which route I go and learning the language!

Sometimes as a society we become caught up in the social justice fights of our day. During these very passionate moments, I think we sometimes forget how long the fight has be going on. This isn’t something we started last month…year…decade…Directly following Roe vs. Wade, these comic books were published to glorify and condem the outcome. Read “Abortion Eve” first to see the liberal view and then take a look at “Who Killed Junior?” to match up the times. Abortion Eve leaves out that at 3 months the baby is ticklish and has fingerprints. Kade pointed out her favorite line “…its not YOUR body…its the BABY’s body…”

Abortion Eve

Who Killed Junior?
I think as a society it is time to stop the mistakes of our parents and fix the problems of the past. Lord we pray for all the souls of the children murdered for the sake of “convenience“

I really dislike the word of the day from dictionary.com because I feel dumb. In my mind I am trying to understand who uses these words or at least opens their homepage and with a pompous tone “Oh yes, consanguineous, I learned this word in kingergarten.”
This morning though, I felt very smart. The word of the day is as follows:
genuflect \JEN-yuh-flekt\, intransitive verb:
1. To bend the knee or touch one knee to the ground, as in worship.
2. To be servilely respectful or obedient; to grovel.
Thanks to my wonderful Catholic, Vatican Loving, Pope High Fiving, Altar Serving upbringing I knew this word. I think I will use it many many times today just to be sure that everyone else learns it to.
* ALERT ALERT *
The theologian liturgist inside of me has to say it because it really is something I don’t think most realize. You only genuflect in a Catholic Church when the tabernacle is visible and the candle/light is on. Otherwise you simply bow slightly. The whole military chapel can throw people off who come from great big chapels at home. Just a heads up
